I believe that there is no better time than now to harness the power of people to create social change - and on a global scale. With zero funds and a dream to create a system that connects marginalized women across the globe, I launched Lensational’s Facebook page on International Women’s Day in 2013. It has since empowered over 1,500 women in 20 countries, and secured partnerships with major corporates and media outlets. I will share my journey with Lensational, in how clarity of vision and use of social media can create a 'born global' movement, and how people - especially young people - can overcome their fear of failure.

Having started my first company at 16 years old to running two global social enterprises in my 20s, I have experienced how social entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool to create change at scale, solve wicked problems and build an inclusive society. I will share how we can make use of social entrepreneurship, how we can overcome the challenges that social entrepreneurs face and to shift the philanthropic and impact investing ecosystem.

As a young, female, Asian entrepreneur, my lived experiences have led me to advocate for gender equality and diversity. There is a strong business case for organisations to be more diverse, yet actions do not necessarily follow rhetoric. I will share advice on how to use storytelling and visuals to increase the impact of advocacy work, and concrete tips on how to achieve gender equality and diversity within global corporates and organisations.

I can also delve into specific areas within gender equality, such as gender lens investing, gender and technology, women in leadership, etc.
